My favourites of May 2021.

. Saturday 29 May 2021 .

Hello.

Well, hate to break it to you guys, but we're only going to have two favourites sections for this month — mainly because I haven't been able to indulge myself in the entertainment world seriously due to busy schedules.

So here we go!

Favourite songs of the month.

aespa - Next Level

ITZY - Sorry Not Sorry

Chungha - X

Favourite drama of the month.

The Blooms At RUYI Pavilion (2020)

This drama had been on my radar ever since the airing date was announced, but not until last week have I started watching it. Part of the reason was that (1) I'm bored and am in need of a new drama to watch — new dramas are on air every day, true, but most of them didn't suit my taste or even if they do, they're still ongoing and I just don't want to torture myself waiting for the updates, and (2) was because of Zhang Zhe Han who had created a buzz through his recent drama along with Gong Jun, thus has piqued my interest towards his previous works. So now that my (drama) schedule is free, I decided to give this a go.

Overall so far, the storyline is very well-written. The first ten episodes might be slow to some people (including me), but it gets better as it progresses. But if you're looking solely for romance, you might have to be patient with this one as the progression between the leads are VERY slow (or it's just me, idk). We won't get to see the real romance until half of the episodes (and they have a total of 44 of 'em!). When it comes to Chinese dramas, I'm more on the slow-viewer side (if that's even a word), so it's easy for me to get sidetracked while watching one — but amazingly, not with this one. I managed to watch the episodes without skipping too much, which in my opinion, says a lot.

I'm currently on the 18th episode and all I can say is that I'm eager to know how the story will unfold!

So that's it for this month's favourites. Later!
